About This Location

Haigamine Observatory is one of the best night-view spots in Kure, offering a spectacular view of the city and the Seto Inland Sea.

The road to the observatory can be quite steep and difficult in some sections, so take care when driving there. Wild boars may also appear along some routes, particularly at night.

The observatory is a popular spot and can get fairly busy, especially at night. The city lights of Kure are beautiful after dark, but the location is also a good place for photographing the night sky when the conditions are right.

Interestingly, the view from the area directly in front of the parking lot can be even better than the view from the observatory itself. There is enough space to take photographs, but be careful of cars entering and leaving the parking area.

For photographers, the area in front of the parking lot is especially worth checking out. It offers a wide view of Kure's cityscape and is convenient for setting up a camera.
