This was one of the first places my wife and I visited for breakfast during our honeymoon in Taiwan. It became a memorable start to our trip.
Although we don't speak much Chinese, we didn't have any trouble ordering because one of the elderly staff members could speak Japanese. That made us feel very welcome and relaxed.
The food was delicious and easy to enjoy, even for first-time visitors to Taiwan. My favorite was the sweet soy milk, which had a gentle flavor and was much easier to drink than I had expected. If you're looking for a traditional Taiwanese breakfast in Taipei, I'd happily recommend this place.
