About This Location

Navona is a long-established, casual Italian restaurant tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood in western Hiroshima. Opened in 1983, it has a warm, slightly nostalgic atmosphere and serves approachable, home-style Italian cooking.

The extensive menu includes pasta, pizza, gratin and other familiar dishes. Among its more distinctive choices are the tomato-based Shofu pasta, best described in English as puttanesca-style pasta, and the restaurant’s unusually named Majo-fu, or “Witch-style” pasta. Both are memorable options and personally recommended by the author of this site. These dishes are listed on the restaurant’s current menu.

The restaurant is around a 10- to 15-minute walk from JR Shin-Inokuchi Station and Hiroden Shoko Center-iriguchi Station. The closest stop is Hiroden Kusatsu-minami Station, approximately five minutes away on foot. Parking is also available.

Alpark is located beside JR Shin-Inokuchi Station, while LECT is another large shopping complex in the surrounding western Hiroshima area. This makes Navona convenient to combine with shopping or other activities before or after the meal.

The restaurant is normally closed on Tuesdays, although it may open when Tuesday falls on a public holiday. Temporary closures are also possible, so checking the latest information before visiting is recommended.
