About This Location

Mizutori-no-Hama Park is a waterfront park overlooking the Seto Inland Sea at the mouth of the Yahata River. Its open shoreline offers clear views of the sea and the bridges of the Hiroshima Minami Road, including Shin-Yahata River Bridge. The bridge, water, and changing sky make this an attractive photography spot, especially around sunset.

The park also features a tidal flat and a birdwatching shelter, where visitors may see waterbirds depending on the season and tide. Swimming is not permitted.

The park is approximately 800 meters south of JR Itsukaichi Station, about a 10-minute walk. From Hiroshima Station, take a local train on the JR Sanyo Line to Itsukaichi Station. The park is also easy to reach by car and has free parking.

The eastern parking area officially closes from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 a.m., so visitors coming for sunset photography should allow enough time to return to their vehicle. A smaller western parking area is also available.

For shopping or dinner afterward, Alpark is located beside JR Shin-Inokuchi Station. LECT is another option and can be reached by shuttle bus in approximately five minutes from the Alpark bus terminal.
