Carp Farm Manager Shinji Tak Returns After Medical Leave

Hiroshima Toyo Carp announced that farm team manager Shinji Tak will return to the dugout on August 4 after recovering from surgery for spinal stenosis.

The Hiroshima Toyo Carp have announced that farm team manager Shinji Tak will return to his duties on August 4 for the Western League game against the Tokyo Yakult Swallows at Yuu Stadium.

Tak had been away from the team since mid-July after undergoing surgery and rehabilitation for lumbar spinal stenosis.

The club announced his leave on July 14, and beginning with the July 18 game against the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks, farm battery coach Satoshi Kura served as acting manager.

Tak’s return provides a welcome boost for Hiroshima’s farm system, which plays an important role in developing the club’s young talent.

As the Carp continue to rely on emerging players during the second half of the season, having the experienced farm manager back in the dugout is expected to strengthen player development and preparation.
